Ishinca is one moderate climbing peak of the Cordillera Blanca with an amazing view from the top, we usually climb it before attempting a peak over six thousand for instance Tocllaraju mountain
DAY 01: HUARAZ 3,100 M. – PASHPA – BASE CAMP ISHINCA 4,350 M.
We leave from Huaraz at 8:00 a.m. on a private transport driving along the north side of Huaraz until Paltay village from there we drive to the east side in order to reach Pashpa village at 3,600 m. where the donkey drives with their donkeys wait for us and support us with the climbing equipment until the base camp at 4,350 m. where we stay the night there.
DAY 02: BASE CAMP – ISHINCA SUMMIT 5,530 M. – BASE CAMP
We have a light and early breakfast then we start climbing up about at 02:00 a.m. along the moraine trail then we reach the glacier we put on the climbing gear and we continue climbing up till reaching the Ishinca summit, it has a beautiful view of some peaks after that, we return until the base camp to spend the last night at 4,300 m.
DAY 03: BASE CAMP – PASHPA – HUARAZ
After having breakfast, we pick up all the camping equipment after that, we return back through the Ishinca valley until reaching Cochapampa, where private transport will be waiting for us to take us back to Huaraz.
