Climb to Huascaran Mountain

Huascaran is the highest tropical mountain in the world and the south peak of 6,768 m. is the highest peak from Peru. Huascaran is at the Huascaran National Park; its summit offers us one of the most amazing views of the Cordillera Blanca. It has two climbing routes; El Escudo is a hard ice wall climb from 70°- 80° degrees, and the other commercial route one, we can choose according to your climbing experience.
DAY 01: HUARAZ – MUSHO – BASE CAMP (4,350 M.)
After breakfast in the hotel, we leave Huaraz taking private transportation to Musho driving along Callejon de Huaylas passing through some small towns such as Tarica, Jangas, Anta Airport, Carhuaz, and Mancos. From Mancos, we drive to the east side in order to reach Musho village at 3,030 m from Musho we start going up to the base camp of Huascaran for about 4-5 hours and we spent the night there at 4,330 m
DAY 02: BASE CAMP – CAMP 1 (5,260 M.)
After breakfast in the hotel, we leave Huaraz taking private transportation to Musho driving along Callejon de Huaylas passing through some small towns such as Tarica, Jangas, Anta Airport, Carhuaz, and Mancos. From Mancos, we drive to the east side in order to reach Musho village at 3,030 m. from Musho we start going up to the base camp of Huascaran for about 4-5 hours and we spent the night there at 4,330 m.
DAY 03: CAMP 1 – CAMP 2 (6,000 M.)
After having breakfast at midnight in the high camp, we start climbing up through the glacier before the sun rises, we climb up for about 5-6 hours till reach camp 2 and we spend a night there at 6,000 m.
DAY 04: CAMP 2 – HUASCARAN SUMMIT (6,768M) – CAMP 2
After having a light breakfast, we start climbing up at midnight, we climb up about 6-7 hours to reach the summit of Huascaran south peak, once we reach the summit, we can enjoy the view of sunrise and the best and most beautiful 360-degree panoramic view of the Cordillera Blanca range, after that, we start climbing down till getting the camp 2 where we have lunch and spend another night there.
DAY 05: CAMP 2 – MORAINE CAMP
After having an early breakfast at camp 2 of Huascaran, we start climbing down till getting moraine camp where we spend a night.
DAY 06: MORAINE CAMP – MUSHO – HUARAZ
After having breakfast at moraine de Huascaran, we start trekking down until Musho village, where private transport will be waiting for us to take us back to Huaraz
